Blind Wind-Out Puller w/tap-out bolt for bearings with a 30mm (I.D.) x 42mm (O.D.) x 7mm (W). Fits 6806...etc.

Designed to extract the sealed cartridge bearings that are found on many brands of bicycle hub and full suspension MTB frames, this tool can even remove the small bearings, 'blind' bearings and back-to-back bearings that other tools can't

  • Removes 'blind' and back to back bearings.
  • V2 expanding pullers are precision machined from 303 stainless steel.
  • Each puller is engraved with it's size for easy identification.
  • Designed & manufactured in the UK.

This puller can remove bearings in two ways; either by tightening the nut to draw the bearing into the cup in a controlled manner, or by swapping-in the extra bolt and tapping the tool out from the back.

NOTE: The correct size should match the bearing's reference number, or inside diameter, outside diameter and bearing width. Each tool is suitable for one combination of bearing ID and OD.

Product FAQs

When should I replace my bike's pivot bearings?

It’s recommended to replace the pivot bearings on your mountain bike when they no longer spin smoothly or develop lateral "play". This can be every 1-3 years depending on ride time, trail conditions and your bike’s suspension linkage design. Worn pivot bearings contribute to poor overall suspension performance, reduced rear wheel traction and that “harsh” ride feeling.

Are quality suspension bearings worth it?

Suspension pivot bearings undergo a great deal of mechanical stress and are often exposed to bad weather and unsavory conditions; think of dust, mud and creek crossings. Quality pivot bearings are specially designed MAX (full-complement) bearings, which perform best and last considerably longer than standard radial bearings. So while they may cost a little more, you're sure to have smoother working suspension for longer — saving you both time and money on labor!

What are "MAX" bearings?

MAX-type bearings are specially designed cartridge bearings, made to meet the demands of the suspension pivots on your mountain bike. Additional balls are added to each bearing, increasing the bearing's load capacity by 35-40%. They often feature full contact dual-lipped seals and waterproof marine grease to better lubricate and keep contaminates out like dust, dirt and water.

How do I replace my suspension bearings?

We recommend that bearings only be replaced by a trained professional (hint: give your local bike shop a call). For those who are skilled, we sell affordable bearing press and bearing puller tool kits that are each tailored for your specific bike-model. As for bearings, we sell aftermarket replacement pivot bearing kits for most makes and models. If you don’t see a kit for your bike here, send us a message with your bike's details and we'll do our best to provide one!
